you are organising an Irish Night or event with an Irish theme
Dempseys Lot are the ideal choice for your entertainment.
We play for PTA's, social clubs, corporate events, weddings
and parties. We play in theatres, marquees and even on the
local bandstand!
Basically
we offer two formats. The basic 4-piece band provide a minimum
of 2 hours music. We do the Irish folk "standards"
- Wild Rover, Irish Rover, Black Velvet Band, Whiskey in the
Jar, etc. plus a good number of lively jigs and reels. Also
depending on the audience we'll do some lesser known Irish
folk songs.
If
people want to get up and dance that's great but we don't
call any dances. Alternatively, as an extra, we can add a
dance caller to the band. That way you get about 3 hours split
between the music and organised ceilidh dancing.
